Browser extensions give you the opportunity to customize your browser by adding new features to it. Each browser has its own ‘app store’ where you can download new extensions. For example, Evernote offers an extension that allows you to clip articles from websites and save them into your Evernote account. And if you feel a bit nostalgic you can add Clippy the Useless Paperclip Assistant to your browser.
There are extensions to help you with online shopping, getting rid of annoying ads, and run your business. My PieSync colleagues and I have several chrome extensions installed that we use on a daily basis. I asked them which extensions were their favorites. And so here is our list, just for you.
Curious about PieSync?

LastPass - Only remember one password
Let’s face it. I’m one of those persons that has had the same password (in 5 different variations) for 10 years. The failed login attempts are countless. To limit the damage I started using LastPass. And so does everyone else in our office. LastPass saves all your passwords (and usernames) in an online ‘vault’ and gives you secure access from every computer or mobile device. You can also create a shared vault for your team if you are using the same login for a range of tools. So from now on, you only need to remember one thing: your LastPass master password. Thank me later.
OneTab - Reduce tab clutter
It’s not uncommon for me to have 20+ tabs open at once. Needless to say, my laptop processing power doesn’t always agree on this. OnceTab converts all your tabs into a list. You can open them from a single page when you need them (individually or all at once). With OneTab you can save up to 95% of memory, speeding up your computer and reducing the CPU load.
The Great Suspender - Automatically suspends unused tabs to free up system resources
Another one for the tab-lovers out there. The Great Suspender does what you’d expect it to do: suspend tabs. This extension helps reduce Chrome’s memory footprint. It will automatically unload each tab when you are not using it. The favicon (the little image in your tab header) and the title text will remain visible. A simple click anywhere on the page will restore the tab. Lifechanger. Really.
Grammarly - Enhance your written communication everywhere you type!
Mistake-free communication every time your write? Grammarly will make that possible for you. This extension will make sure your messages and social media posts are clear, mistake-free, and impactful. It is easy to use and works on Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Tumblr, and nearly everywhere else you write on the web.
Panda 5 - Browse multiple website at the same time
This is a fun one. With Panda 5 you can browse multiple websites at the same time, personalize your home tab, read interested articles distraction free and keep up with industry news in one glance. Once you try it, you’ll never be able to live without.
