Mixpanel is an advanced analytics platform for mobile & web. It helps businesses grow by helping them understand how their users behave and use their products by tracking actions people take rather than page views. Mixpanel’s mission is to help the world learn from its data.
Mixpanel + PieSync
Most apps are not natively integrated. That means you have to work out a way to get customer data from one app to another. A lot of businesses use the time-wasting import/export or one-way zaps, but your apps are never really up-to-date. These methods are one of the most common causes of duplicate contact data, while historical data is rarely pushed.
PieSync automatically syncs your Mixpanel users with your favorite cloud apps bidirectionally and in real time. During the initial sync, the service matches the existing, historical data between the two systems and merges your duplicate contacts. Later on, PieSync’s method is to continually check and understand the data in both apps to sync according to your exact needs and criteria.
For example, if a new user is added to Mixpanel or if his/her information is updated in either app, you will have it up-to-date automatically in the other app according to your instructions, no matter where you are or who entered the data. You never have to manually transfer data again!
Among the unique bridges you can create between apps you’ll find:

Customizable Field Mapping
Depending on the other app you’re syncing with, you’ll see most Mixpanel fields (such as name, lastname, address, etc.) being mapped by default. Additionally, you can manually map your Custom Fields and any additional standard fields that aren’t included in the default mapping yet.
Thanks to PieSync’s rule-based sync, you can create more nuance by using “If–this–then–that” rules or conditions on top of the 2-way sync. These rules enable you to choose the lists, tags or categories you want to sync in each app, supporting and automating complex flows across your apps.
By configuring a 2-Way Intelligent Sync, you can expand your scope and have a complete view of your users activity across departments. For instance, you can leverage Mixpanels rich user data like last use of the product or detected location by syncing it with your other app.
This type of sync transports the power of Mixpanel to HubSpot, and vice versa.
PieSync’s Intelligent Sync will save you hours on contact management, increase the ROI of your SaaS Stack and give you peace of mind. You’ll have the right data, in the right app, at the right time.
And there’s more!
- Save time spent on data entry
- Increase ROI
- No more import/export of your contacts
- One database across all your cloud apps
- Sync changes, including deletions and unsubscribes, in your favorite cloud apps and CRM
- Share accurate customer information across your marketing, sales and customer service platforms.
How is PieSync different than Zapier?
Zapier is great for one-way data pushes. If you’re using web forms on your website and you want to push that data to your CRM, Zapier is what you need.
It is a trigger based app and will only operate when a trigger is pulled, pushing all the data to another database. But in this process, Zapier won’t check if an update is necessary and it won’t sync data.
If you try to set up a “sync” with Zapier, you’re taking a very high risk of your data being over-written. Their app isn’t built for syncing data, it’s built for, well, zapping data. So it is good for one-time data pushes.
PieSync checks to see if an update is needed and then it syncs the new data. You can also choose which app is your “source of truth” so you won’t accidentally sync the incorrect information. PieSync is great for when you want to continuously sync correct, up to date, error-free information across your cloud apps.
