Podio's New Contact App Type & PieSync

Let me walk you through the steps of setting up the connection to sync your contacts (one-way or two-way).

On the Podio side, just make sure you have a ‘Contact App’:

The Contact App exists out of several fixed fields, some of which you can’t delete (but you can hide them if you like). These are the fields that PieSync will be able to sync your marketing app or Google account.

Follow these 5 simple steps to set up your connection:

Step 1) Sign in or sign up for a free 14-day PieSync trial. (We only need your name and email address.)

Step 2) Select which services you’d like to keep in sync by clicking their logos. Then click ‘Add connection’: piesync choose apps to connect podio

Step 3) Connect both services (in this example Google): piesync authorize podio and google

Step 4) Select the Podio workspace and app you’d like to connect: piesync podio workspace

Step 5) Set up the configuration of your choice and click ‘Start Syncing Now’: piesync podio sync configuration

You can follow the progress on your dashboard: piesync podio dashboard

When the initial sync is completed, your dashboard will say ‘Synchronization is active’. Every contact that you add or edit that matches your filters, will get synced to the other side in no more than 5 minutes.
