2-Way Lead Sync is now available for Salesforce users!
Until now, when setting up a bidirectional integration, PieSync customers could only sync contacts, essentially bypassing the initial leads stage. In other words, it’s assumed these contacts had already been qualified in a sales process.
With this new release by PieSync, bidirectional syncing in Salesforce starts at the top of the funnel, syncing leads alongside regular contacts.
A bidirectional sync to Salesforce leads will ensure a funnel is constantly filled with new leads coming from website lead generating tools like Hubspot, or Intercom’s chat bots. If the user is syncing 2-way, while these leads remain unconverted they can be nurtured by marketing platforms like ActiveCampaign or Marketo.
When the leads eventually convert to contacts, the lead nurturing can stop, and “automagically” go over in adapted customer communication.
Finally, tangential apps to Salesforce transparently informed of exactly which leads successfully converted into contacts and when.

How is PieSync different than Zapier?
Zapier is great for one-way data pushes. If you’re using web forms on your website and you want to push that data to your CRM, Zapier is what you need.
It is a trigger based app and will only operate when a trigger is pulled, pushing all the data to another database. But in this process, Zapier won’t check if an update is necessary and it won’t sync data.
If you try to set up a “sync” with Zapier, you’re taking a very high risk of your data being over-written. Their app isn’t built for syncing data, it’s built for, well, zapping data. So it is good for one-time data pushes.
