Founder Jerry Bergner left the finance industry after working in it for 25 years to begin Integrated Life and Financial Planning. “I had been using ACT by default, mostly for managing my database but not really for contact management.”

Bergner realized that he needed to find a system to help him with contact management, and began investigating via Google searches and product reviews.

I first used Redtail CRM, but it was totally non-intuitive. I’m not a programmer but I am good at this stuff, I’ve been working with CRMs for 25 years, but I couldn’t see where any of the information was. It also had no import function. They had a consultant who had to import and map it, and for me it totally messed it up.

Bergner decided to look for another CRM when importing his contacts into Redtail CRM proved difficult. “I called the client manager and she told me it would take two weeks to fix!”

Bergner also needed a Gmail-to-Gmail sync: "My business and personal contacts were getting all messed up.”

I don’t remember the last time I went to call someone and had the wrong number. It would have been difficult to use Pipedrive if I hadn’t found a way to sync information across different platforms.
