## Authorizing HubSpot CRM

For HubSpot CRM, we need you to first log in to your HubSpot CRM account in a separate window or tab, and copy your "Hub ID", to be found in the top right corner. When you click 'Authorize HubSpot CRM', a pop-up window appears with a request to enter this ID, followed by a window asking you to authorize your account.

## Default Field Mapping

Depending on the other app you're syncing with, you'll see a number of standard HubSpot CRM fields being mapped. For instance, a connection to Google Contacts will look something like this:

## Didn’t HubSpot already have a built-in Mailchimp sync?

Correct, HubSpot provides a built-in integration with Mailchimp. This feature is tightly related with HubSpot’s lead flows. Unfortunately, it can only accomplish so much. In HubSpot’s own words, the built-in integration does the following:

> “HubSpot’s built-in integration to Mailchimp will automatically push new contacts who submit your form to your chosen Mailchimp list.”

Apart from the word ‘automatically’, under the hood there’s not a lot of sync magic happening here.

*   only a _push_: anyone already in Mailchimp is not part of this integration. Updates happening to subscribers in Mailchimp don’t sync back
*   only for _new__contacts_: so the database you already hold in HubSpot isn’t included in this
*   only _when_ _a form is submitted_: so contacts need to complete certain steps before going into Mailchimp.

In other words, their built-in integration, while it definitely works and is provided at no extra cost to your HubSpot subscription, will only work in a very specific scenario.

There are other limitations, too, which include not being able to overcome required field limitations in syncing from HubSpot into Mailchimp. When a contact is sent over from HubSpot, it just copies the default contact fields which are email & name.

After you have this integration setup, HubSpot’s interface also doesn’t show you which contacts have successfully moved into Mailchimp - you just have to assume it’s worked for certain contacts, while others may still be in limbo somewhere if they didn’t sync successfully.



## What about Zapier?

Zapier is a well known web automation app often used to hook up HubSpot to Mailchimp. Compared to HubSpot’s native integration, Zapier does indeed provide more flexibility. In Zapier you can set up tasks based on any kind of trigger happening either in HubSpot or in Mailchimp.

Yet, here too, these zaps only work one-way, and if you need a straightforward connection, it may do the trick. But if you need various workflows, it gets convoluted.

Ever had these requirements?

*   Certain contacts need to go on one Mailchimp list, others should go to a different list
*   Mailchimp Groups need to be set according to what lead status they are in HubSpot
*   Tags in Mailchimp need to be pulled from a custom attribute in HubSpot
*   Unsubscribes in HubSpot need to sync to Mailchimp…But also the other way round!

Zapier may be flexible, but it takes a lot of trial & error to set up your zaps the right way.

Again, like the native integration, Zapier will only work for new contacts or new subscribers… So anyone that’s already in either system won’t be part of the automation you’ve setup.

## When should you choose PieSync to sync HubSpot & Mailchimp?

At this moment, you probably already use your HubSpot account and a dozen of your contacts are already in that database. At one point, you decide to send out a newsletter to all of your customers. But do you really export your contacts from HubSpot to just importing them in Mailchimp again?

You’re not satisfied with the one way push of data and you also want your contacts to move in the reversed direction? You’re not amused that your historical data isn’t involved in the sync? PieSync comes to the rescue.

“PieSync will update both databases when you have a new subscriber in either system, and it will constantly check for updates to overwrite the information whenever a change is made.”

This means you won’t have to worry about manually import/export data ever again or about having duplicates or outdated data!

## Sounds great! How do I set up this sync?

If you haven't already, setting up a sync between HubSpot & Mailchimp is as easy as [following this link](http://app.piesync.com/sync/hubspot/mailchimp). A one time operation involves authorizing both apps at this stage, which is super easy. A popup will open inside PieSync and you just log in to both platforms respectively. This brings you to the sync setup, where you can leave everything to its default settings, or really dial in some custom syncs.

The connection can be adjusted in several ways. The default setting of a sync is always a 2-way sync. This means you allow PieSync to transfer changes you make to contacts in HubSpot as well as in Mailchimp. We recommend you to keep this 2-way setting. However make sure you understand the two rules that you start off with by default.

*   All contacts in Mailchimp will go into HubSpot, so that may include subscribers.
*   All contacts in HubSpot will go into Mailchimp, so you're running the risk of making this sync very heavy depending on your database.

To avoid those unwanted scenarios, use the filters, or you can turn off any of these two rules if they don't fit your workflow.

## What are filters & actions?

Filters & actions allow you to really dial in the sync settings. For instance, consider the following example where contacts in a Mailchimp Group are matched up to a Persona in HubSpot:

There is a toggle at the bottom of this rule meaning you can also consider the rule in the other way around. Depending on the persona in HubSpot, some contacts will be synced to Mailchimp, and others will be kept out of scope.

Chances are likely you’re not using “Persona” at all in HubSpot. These IF-THEN rules are easy to create and the above is just an example. There are endless possibilities.

## More settings!

In addition, PieSync gives you some pre programmed options to manage the sync. For example, making a choice of which application would ‘win’ when a conflicting change is detected. Usually, you let your CRM win, but of course, this is an individual choice.

This toggle is very relevant if you are going to fire up an Mailchimp-HubSpot sync with lots of contacts already living on both sides. For example, Brian may exist in Mailchimp as well as in HubSpot, with a mobile phone number in both systems. In that situation, PieSync needs to know which of the two phone numbers to keep moving forward.

Once the sync is running, every contact that you add or edit that matches your filters, will get synced to the other side in no more than 5 minutes.

## How do I follow up my sync?

The progress of your sync can be followed on your dashboard as shown below - you can see contacts being created on both sides, where updates are happening, and you can always pause the sync at any time.

Using Piesync, the two databases will look exactly the same following the rules as you laid them out. Also, you don’t have to worry that any of your data is out of date, since everything syncs every 5 minutes.

## Pro tip #1: Hubspot on your phone

The [Hubspot mobile app](https://www.hubspot.com/products/mobile) is great and does a fine job at helping you navigate Hubspot when you are on the go. But the app does not continuously sync new contacts back & forth to the contact clouds that you hold dear... and it's those contact repositories that actually make sure your phone functions properly as a phone! 

When Hubspot leads & customers are not registered in your phone's contact list, your smartphone can't recognize you who's calling you. So that's why it's important to have Hubspot sync to Google, Outlook, or Icloud: to get true caller ID !

An example: when **a contact in HubSpot reaches a lead score greater than 5, then and only then sync the contact to the CRM**. This rule includes updating a custom field in Pipedrive I created to store the lead source. This helps to set up a separate view in Pipedrive for the sales staff to follow up on new leads and claim ownership of them. In the meantime, all cold leads stay in Hubspot, and are not polluting the CRM.

## Pro tip #3: Lifecycle stage automation

Hubspot gives marketeers true understanding of their audience and the impact of their actions... but it can only be so relevant if the data is there to back up the statements. The [lifecycle stage](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts-user-guide-v2/how-to-use-lifecycle-stages) is an immensely important segmentation device for marketeers. 

Among many other insights, it helps understand the handoff between marketing and sales and how long it takes for a stranger to become a customer. But what if the deal process is being worked on in a different tool than Hubspot? Enter PieSync to sync across that information in real time, all the time.

 Have any open deals on a contact? Lifecycle stage goes to opportunity, as simply set by this rule in PieSync:

## Pro tip #4: Help in  GDPR compliance

This rule also includes toggling on a custom checkbox that I created in Hubspot so that from within my Hubspot environment, I can easily plot whoever's data is present in which tool. 

## Pro tip #5: Opt in / Opt out & communication preferences

Chances are Hubspot is not the only app through which you foresee your customer communication:

*   a separate app for those individual transactional e-mails
*   your billing app also sends out e-mails
*   a mobile text app sends promotional sms's
*   _that one e-mailing app that your colleague would not give up_ when you introduced Hubspot in the business

Separate apps will all succeed at reaching out to your audience, but as long as they are a siloed app, they cannot keep  a single record of your customers communication preferences. When someone opts out from a newsletter through the unsubscribe link in the footer of an e-mail, it is still just stored inside that one e-mail marketing app that was responsible for this very newsletter.

Keeping [GDPR](https://www.eugdpr.org/) in mind, syncing & storing opt-out preference on a centralized level is a must. If a customer unsubscribes in Mailchimp, that should trickle down into being unsubscribed for marketing in general. Hubspot is the ideal app to manage how you treat your customer across his or her entire journey. PieSync can help you in automating this, like this rule where being opted out in Hubspot has an effect on Hubspot, but also the other way around.

## Didn’t HubSpot already have a built-in connection with Outlook?

There are a couple of Outlook plugins available for HubSpot users. Whether it is a desktop tray application to install, or a web browser extension - these add-ons, among other things help transfer email conversations from Outlook to have them show up in HubSpot. Or they give you a handy access to look up HubSpot details right from within Outlook.

Essentially these **plug-ins** process data on **on-demand principle**. They will visualize actionable information, when, and only when you are working on a certain contact record.

None of these solutions actually process Outlook’s or HubSpot’s data in the background, and that could be an issue. HubSpot data is changing all the time, new contacts are being added through forms, you’re making minute changes to Outlook data,....

A true 2-way syncing solution for contacts is not what these extensions offer but PieSync does.

## When should you choose PieSync to sync HubSpot & Outlook?

On the HubSpot community forums it seems to be a source of some disappointment that a sync with Outlook contacts is not offered out of the box.

PieSync truly **strengthens the link between your contacts databases.** It will ensure contacts that you manage in HubSpot are available in Outlook and vice versa.

This consistency is required for various reasons. Think of email communication that takes place in Outlook: it can only be properly linked inside HubSpot if the contacts exist there in the first place.

> Sure, HubSpot has a fully functioning mobile app which gives you access to those contacts. But that’s not enough. You need HubSpot contacts to live inside Outlook, because your smartphone syncs natively to Outlook, it doesn’t sync natively to HubSpot. With PieSync, you’ll get the benefit to recognize incoming calls immediately, based on whatever info is found in HubSpot. Working caller ID. Finally.

All contact attributes will live in a perfect 2 way sync: up to date contacts all the time.

## Just to be clear: which contacts will be synced by PieSync?

## Sounds great! How do I set up this sync?

If you haven't already, setting up a sync between Hubspot & Outlook is as easy [as following this link.](https://app.piesync.com/sync/hubspot/outlook) A one time operation involves authorizing both apps at this stage, which is super easy. A popup will open inside PieSync and you just log in to both platforms respectively. This brings you to the sync setup, where you can leave everything to its default settings, or really dial in some custom syncs.

The connection can be adjusted in several ways. The **default setting** of a sync is always a **2-way sync**. This means you allow PieSync to transfer changes you make to contacts in HubSpot as well as in Outlook. We recommend you keep this 2-way setting. However make sure you understand the two rules that you start off with by default.

*   All contacts in Outlook will go into HubSpot, _so that may include personal contacts_.
*   All contacts in HubSpot will go into Outlook, _so you're running the risk of making this sync very heavy depending on your database._

To avoid those unwanted scenarios, use the filters, or you can turn off any of these two rules if they don't fit your workflow. This quick video shows the various options:

## What are filters & actions?

**Filters & actions** allow you to really dial in the sync settings. For instance, consider the following example where contacts in an Outlook folder are matched up to an owner in HubSpot:

There is a toggle at the bottom of this rule meaning you can also consider the rule in the other way around. Depending on the owner in Hubspot, some contacts will be synced to Outlook, and others will be kept out of scope. These IF-THEN rules are easy to create and the above is just an example. There are endless possibilities.

## More settings!

In addition, PieSync gives you some **pre programmed options** to manage the sync. For example, making a choice of which application would ‘win’ when a conflicting change is detected. Usually, you let your CRM win, but of course, this is an individual choice.

This toggle is very relevant if you are going to fire up an Outlook-HubSpot sync with lots of contacts already living on both sides. For example, John may exist in Outlook as well as in HubSpot, with a mobile phone number in both systems. In that situation, PieSync needs to know once which of the two phone numbers to keep moving forward.

Once the sync is running, every contact that you add or edit that matches your filters, will get synced to the other side in no more than 5 minutes.

[HubSpot](https://www.hubspot.com) is the marketer's number one inbound marketing tool. Your phone’s address book however runs on a different cloud. Google Contacts for instance.

To get these 2 apps to talk to one another, there are a couple of ways to add contacts in HubSpot. Either you copy paste contacts, you import a csv file, or you type them in manually. Yet all these methods have their disadvantages. There can be typos in the data, the information can be out-of-date and it’s just very time-wasting.

## What is the difference with the Gmail built in plugin?

This (free) add-on, among other things, helps transfer email conversations from Gmail to have them show up in HubSpot. While it will indeed create a contact record, it will only do when you send an email from a web browser that is equipped with the extension.

## What are the benefits of a 2-way contact sync?

Let’s focus on contact management, your contact data **needs** to be in check. PieSync helps to make an intelligent real time connection between HubSpot and Google Contacts, or one out of their 150+ other cloud-based apps.

Whenever there is a new or updated contact in HubSpot, it will transfer the information into your Google Contacts account and vice versa. Because of this sync, you now have a complete up-to-date database in 2 cloud apps.

Contacts created in HubSpot will be pushed to your Google Contacts, and that's what you phone reads into. In other words: you'll be getting "caller ID" for everyone calling you. Your phone won't mention a number, but will pop up a name when you get called. This gives you the opportunity to approach your caller in a personal way.

The 2-way sync works in real time which means that PieSync constantly searches for updates in the existing contacts. The updates are automatically changing in your database and the information merges together so that there won’t be any duplicates in your database.

### iPhone CRM Sync

Firstly, make sure you’ve got Google Contacts on your iPhone. If you don’t have it yet, [check out this help article](https://support.google.com/mail/answer/2753077?hl=en&amp;ref_topic=21369&amp;co=GENIE.Platform%3DiOS&amp;oco=1) on how to setup Google Contacts on your iPhone. Then go to your settings and make your “default account” to Gmail, as seen in the screenshot below. This ensures that new contacts are added to Google Contacts and synced to your CRM.

### Tweaking the sync

Not only PieSync creates new leads or contact in the connected app, but you can also use “if-this-then-that” rules and filter the sync to your liking.

You are in full control of your sync! Choose which field to sync and how. You’ll find your standard fields mapped by default, but you can map as many other customized fields as you wish. Afterwards, you can just let it work in the background. _Set it and forget it!_

#### What are filters & actions?

### Which email will PieSync match on?
In Google Contacts, a record can have multiple email addresses, which you then label accordingly with work, home, etc. In HubSpot, a contact record always has one primary email, with the ability to add secondary email addresses. 

Because of a known API limitation it's only possible to sync with this primary email address of HubSpot.

### Google storage limits

<WarningBox>The filters we offer in the PieSync interface can definitely come in handy in the case of large Hubspot databases. Google Contacts has a technical limit of 50K contacts, so if your Hubspot database is larger than that, you will need to include filters to trim down that number.</WarningBox>

In fact, you will want to trim down the number in any case since it’s not recommended to sync that many contacts to one single Google Contacts account anyhow, because your phone will not like having to load up tens of thousands of contacts in its native phone directory. Make a selection of those contacts that you know are likely to call you, or that you will need to call.

You can use Hubspot filters such as

*   Only the contacts that you own
*   Only the contacts that have a phone number
*   Only the contacts that came in over the past month

### What does this mean for you?

PieSync will continue as a stand alone product and will continue to add new integration partners every Wednesday. We will not prevent any customers from using contact sync via PieSync and HubSpot doesn't plan to close any API accesses.

PieSync to the rescue! How should you setup this sync?

When you sync Outreach with HubSpot, you can customize the following three elements to your sync. 

1. Sync direction
2. Connection rules
3. Field mappings

There is no one typical use case, no one best practice that can be documented to sync HubSpot and Outreach. We'll provide various different tips, rules, and field mappings for you to draw inspiration from. You don't have to use them all!

## Sync direction
It starts by choosing the [direction of your sync](https://www.piesync.com/help/features/sync-direction/). Depending on how Outreach and HubSpot are implemented in your org, you can consider three different settings. 

1. Most customers opt for a two-way sync, allowing records to be modified by PieSync in either system. This is the setup we see most commonly as it would enable contacts to move from HubSpot into Outreach as well as the other way round.

2. You could choose for a strict one-way sync. Imagine you only wanto to sync certain Outreach contacts tagged in a certain way move into HubSpot, to have them assigned to the right owner in HubSpot. You
don't want data flowing back. Ever.

3. Of course there's the opposite way too. For example, a HubSpot List can define which data can move into Outreach to become Accounts there. We will cover more possible filters in the next part on Rules.

## Connection rules
On to the [connection rules](https://www.piesync.com/help/features/multiple-rules/). These define which contacts are in scope of the sync. In a secondary use case, rules are capable of translating HubSpot states into Outreach states or vice versa. Rules come with filters and actions.

With this setup, PieSync would create in Outreach any newly created HubSpot contacts (1), as well as in fact create any existing HubSpot contacts (2). Once they are created or identified, it would update and keep those contacts in continuous sync (3). It would do the same in the other way round, requiring PieSync to identify which contacts are potentially already present in both systems. 

__Only in a rare number of cases would you want to run these rules in unfiltered fashion__. Here are different rule examples - inspired by you, our customers!

*note: Regardless of what rules start out with, they can still see data sync two-way.*

### Active list syncing
Make syncing dependent from an Active List in HubSpot. These Active Lists in themselves contain __complex filters__. We argue this is a best practice setup. It enables you to keep the sync rule setup simple and constant inside of PieSync. Merely changing the active list in HubSpot would allow other contacts to start - or stop - syncing.

### Syncing stages with lead status or lifecycle stage
Some two-way rules here that can be read __in both directions__, indicating that there is sales outreach happening in both platforms, so Lead status (HubSpot) and Stage (Outreach) need to move in tandem!

### Opt outs
Aligning the __opt outs__ across the two systems - notice the "If in HubSpot CRM" filter to ensure you're not needlessly syncing contacts over.

### Lead qualification
Leads stay in Outreach __up until the moment that they hit the MQL stage.__ From that point onwards they start syncing, and they also set the right lifecycle stage in HubSpot!

### Landing page funnel
Contacts coming in through a HubSpot landing page get sent into Outreach, and directly into their respective stage, possibly triggering sequences in Outreach.

### Website visiting behavior
The “has visited website today” field is the __result of a HubSpot automation__ and triggers a sequence in Outreach.

### A sync within a sync
Specifically syncing leads with Outreach if and only when when they were the result __of a certain Intercom integration__. This is in fact a sync within a sync!

## Field mappings
The field mapping defines how contacts will sync. A huge time & lifesaver in PieSync is that __most of these are automatically set__ for all basic contact fields that HubSpot & Outreach share by default. 

Typically it's best to keep these default field mappings all activated as they represent the essential contact attributes that you would not want to grow out of sync in any circumstance.

We do understand you could want to turn off the “job title” field mapping when you like to keep that information siloed and consciously different in both systems, as illustrated in this example. 

### Customizable field mappings
Field mapping also includes ability to__ custom map__ both text fields as well as date & checkboxes fields. This is fully customizable not only before setting up a new sync, but it can also be modified for an ongoing sync.

Here's a comprehensive example of how you can leverage mappings. 
- __Both company properties as well as contact properties__ are being mapped. 
- __Growth metrics__, get directly synced onto the contact record in Outreach.
- General __opt out __preference (yes/no) gets synced directly into the opted out (yes/no) from Outreach, to ensure GDPR compliancy.
- __Address__ properties (Billing City & State) explicitly custom mapped to overwrite the normal Address mapping
- __Campaign name__ gets synced bidirectionally.
- An __MQL timestamp__ synced into Outreach, probably triggering an event in Outreach.


## PieSync is more than just a turnkey solution 

Being able to sync HubSpot Marketing Hub or CRM with Outreach aids in frictionless selling because it keeps the underlying contact data in sync, and saves time in manual import/export operations.

Hubspot recently added a feature that will allow you to track lawful basis by setting up automated workflows (f.e. when starting a trial, a lawful basis property gets added to a certain contact) or by manually adding the lawful basis property information. Hubspot will also store a copy of the notice (f.e. your privacy policy) that your customer was provided with upon consenting.  

How do you make sure the value is filled out for each individual contact as they get added into Hubspot?

## Setting Legal basis as an ACTION in a sync rule

When syncing into Hubspot, make sure you set the legal processing straight via a sync rule. For instance, when someone subscribes to your Mailchimp list, you have obtained consent and you should log this as such in Hubspot. This is only relevant if you used a GDPR-compliant subscription form to obtain the consent. The field "Consent source" is concurrently set with the source so you can trace it back to the original app!

In this sync with Salesforce, contacts that are actively being worked on are kept alive in Hubspot on a legal basis which may be the performance of a contract, or under legitimate interest. However, a second rule is added. When a contact gets deleted in Salesforce, it triggers a followup in Hubspot and clears the legal basis of performance of contract and sets it to a custom value.

Hubspot is my main CRM, while a distribution list in ActiveCampaign sends out transactional e-mails to customers. The legal basis, as it is set in Hubspot, is unambiguously controlling whether or not these e-mails are sent out of ActiveCampaign, and vice versa.

## Note About Syncing the Company Name on NetSuite 'Individual Customers' & NetSuite 'Contacts'
<WarningBox>The 'Company Name' field can only be kept in a *one-way* sync from NetSuite 'Contacts' to HubSpot 'Contacts'. However, it can be kept in a *two-way* sync between NetSuite 'Individual Customers' and HubSpot 'Contacts'.</WarningBox>

The reason for this is the following:

### NetSuite 'Contacts'
On a NetSuite 'Contact' record, the "Company Name" field is a field that only accepts already existing companies in NetSuite using their internal ID.

So, PieSync can fetch and __read__ the value in the "Company Name" field on a NetSuite 'Contact'. However, it cannot __write__ a value in that field, as it is based on the company's internal NetSuite ID, not the name of the company in NetSuite.

### NetSuite 'Individual Customers'
On a NetSuite 'Individual Customer' record, the "Company Name" field is a free text field, which is why we can freely sync it two-ways with HubSpot 'Contacts'.

## Step 1: Select Pipedrive and HubSpot

## Step 2: Authorize Pipedrive

For Pipedrive, we need your API Key. If you aren't logged into your Pipedrive account just yet, we'll ask you to do so first.

If you already authorized Pipedrive account(s) in the past or in any other PieSync integration, you'll be able to skip this step and choose from your CONNECTED ACCOUNTS.

## Step 3: Authorize HubSpot

<InfoBox>All HubSpot plans are able to set up a PieSync connection.</InfoBox>

For HubSpot CRM, we need you to first log in to your HubSpot CRM account in a separate window or tab, and copy your "Hub ID", to be found in the top right corner. When you click 'Authorize HubSpot CRM', a pop-up window appears with a request to enter this ID, followed by a window asking you to authorize your account.

If you already authorized HubSpot CRM in the past or in any other PieSync integration, you'll be able to skip this step and choose from your **CONNECTED ACCOUNTS**.

## Step 4: Select your Customer Data Type

PieSync supports Contacts/People sync and a Company/Account sync. Distinguish between Accounts and People before proceeding to the configuration page.

If you would like to connect both, simply set up a new connection with the other Data Type.

## Step 5: Configuration
##### Connection Rules

Once you authorized  Pipedrive and HubSpot, you tell PieSync how we should keep your contacts data in sync. By default, PieSync proposes a two-way sync with a drop-down to allow for one-way syncs ([do I need one-way or two-way?](/help/features/sync-direction/)).

A two-way sync starts off with 2 rules. Each rule fulfills the conditions of each side of the sync. [PieSync looks at all the data stored on each side](http://help.piesync.com/faq/what-will-happen-during-the-initial-sync), so you can define exactly what data needs to move from one side to the other.

If you need a simple all-to-all sync, this is all you need to set up (ie. don't change anything to the default setup). Starter plans are limited to two of these rules, but **the Pro plan allows for more**.

However, through PieSync you can and you should tweak the sync so that not only contacts get synced, but you also respect the segmentation, tags, owners, person stages, custom attributes, subscription status, ... of the apps that the contacts live in. In a PieSync [rule](/help/features/multiple-rules/), you can choose to add a filter and add actions to syncs.

What you can do [depends from app to app](/help/faq/which-connectors-do-you-support/). Typically, in the if-clause you define a segment of your contacts. In the then-clause, you perform actions such as adding the contacts to the counterpart of that same segment in the other app. Combine this with other actions you can perform as a result of a sync, and the possibilities are truly endless.


##### Connection Field Mapping

Two fields that are kept in sync by PieSync, without explicitly requiring the user to choose them. These are built-in mappings between standard fields that exist in both applications you are keeping in sync, usually fields such as name, phone or email address.

As of the Pro Plan, you are able to customize the default field mappings and you are also able to add your own field mappings. Any user-created mapping is also often referred to as the "Custom (Field) Mapping".

## FAQ

1.  **Why is my connection not free, what's wrong?**

Make sure you have connected the correct HubSpot account. It might be possible you have multiple accounts with the same login. All integrations with your HubSpot partner account are free.

2.  **Can I connect other HubSpot accounts?**

Yes, you are not limited to your HubSpot partner account. Do notice that these connections are not free but at a 25% discount.

3.  **Do my clients also have a 25% discount?**

Yes, all HubSpot users automatically get a 25% discount.

4.  **How much do I have to pay to become a partner?**

Nothing, You can become a PieSync Partner for free if you are a HubSpot Solutions Partner.

5.  **Does PieSync offer a commission?**

No, PieSync does not offer a rev share model. If you have any clients that are interested in an integrations, they will automatically receive a 25% discount when connecting to their HubSpot account.

6.  **Why does it say I'm in a trial?**

At first, you will enter a PieSync Trial account. This is completely normal. After your trial is over, you have the ability to use PieSync for free on your own portal for demo or personal use with your HubSpot Partner Account.
