ConvertKit

GETTING STARTED GUIDE: How to set up a new connection?
ConvertKit: ConvertKit offers email marketing tools and automation to help you grow your blog and business. It allows you to create custom landing pages to share with your followers, customize emails and send them to the right people at the right time.
Below you'll find detailed information, specifically for ConvertKit integrations:
Supported ConvertKit Integrations
Authorizing ConvertKit
To connect your ConvertKit account, we need your API Secret (note that this is not the same as your API Key).
You can find your API Secret in your Account Settings under Account Info → API Secret as can be seen on the screenshot below.
If you already authorized ConvertKit account(s) in the past or in any other PieSync integration, you'll be able to skip the first part of the authorization and choose from your CONNECTED ACCOUNTS.
[IF] Supported Conditions/Filters
ConvertKit only comes with a few built-in fields. These can be used to exclude or include contacts by adding them as filters to your connection rules. The fields listed below are supported. We unfortunately can't detect changes to other fields.
- Created at
- First Name
- ID
[THEN] Supported Additional Actions
- Add to Form
- Add to Sequence
- Add to Tag
- Update field values
Note that you will always have to assign a contact to a Tag, Form or Sequence. This is a requirement to create a ConvertKit subscriber.
Default Field Mapping
When connecting ConvertKit to any other app, the default field mapping will only provide two mappings, namely 'First Name' and 'Email'. These are also the only fields which can be synced two-way, as can be seen on the image below:
You have the ability to disable default mappings and reuse them in the custom mappings section.
Customizable Field Mapping
You are able to customize the default field mappings and you are also able to add your own field mappings. Any user-created mapping is also often referred to as the "Custom (Field) Mapping".
Please note that we can't detect changes to custom field values for ConvertKit. As such, we can't sync these values to the other app. We can only write information to these fields in ConvertKit.

Additional Options
Only create ConvertKit subscribers assigned to a Form, Tag or Sequence
This is a requirement to create a ConvertKit subscriber and has to be configured in the rules. Otherwise no creations can be done.

Currently, there are no ConvertKit integrations on the PieSync platform that support our deletions sync.
Syncing Unsubscribes
Currently, there are no ConvertKit integrations on the PieSync platform that support our unsubscribes sync.
