Authorizing KW Command
Via Your KWCommand Portal
Here's how to authorize KWCommand through your KWCommand Portal.
- Click on the arrow next to your avatar and name in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
- Click Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the sub-heading Productivity and click Connect Account next to PieSync.
- On the small pop-up that arises called PieSync Connection, click the blue Sign in to PieSync button.
- Follow the prompts that arise to authorize KWCommand and connect directly to other apps through PieSync!
If you log in to PieSync through your KWCommand Portal, it will log you into a PieSync account associated with your "firstname.lastname@example.org" email address. If you're using a PieSync account associated with a different email address, reach out to us at email@example.com and ask us to add your "firstname.lastname@example.org" email address as an additional identity on your account so that you can log in to your correct PieSync account through your KWCommand Portal.
Via PieSync's Website
If you're authorizing KWCommand out of an existing PieSync account, we require your username and password.
If you already authorized KWCommand account(s) in the past or in any other PieSync integration, you'll be able to skip the first part of the authorization and choose from your CONNECTED ACCOUNTS.

Default Field Mapping
Depending on the other app you're syncing with, you'll see a number of standard KWCommand fields being mapped by default. For instance, in a connection with Google Contacts, the default field mapping looks like this:
PieSync syncs the default name field(s) that come with the apps. Sometimes they have a different structure in both apps you connect. E.g. first and last names are separate in app A and joint in a single field in app B. In the background, PieSync joins first and last names together from app A to B and separates them again from app B to A. Our algorithm is smart about which part it updates in app B.
Please note if the address mapping of a contact does not have the fields "street", "number" and "city" filled out, the address will not sync.
Customizable Field Mapping
You can custom map your KWCommand Custom Fields and any additional standard fields that aren't included in the default mapping yet. Bear in mind a mapping between two fields can only exist if the types of fields are compatible, and the particular compatibility will determine the direction of the mapping as well. More information on Customizable Field Mapping here.
Currently, there are no KWCommand integrations on the PieSync platform that support our deletions sync.
Currently, there are no KWCommand integrations on the PieSync platform that support our unsubscribes sync.
The availability to Sync Unsubscribes/Deletions is app and connection dependent. If the box is not there to tick, it's simply not possible. We need to be able to detect unsubscribes/deletions on one side and at the same time be able to create add the tag 'PieSync Unsubscribes' or ‘PieSync Trash’ on the other side. More Information on Syncing Unsubscribes here or on Deletions here.
Hit the "start syncing now" button once you have finalized your configuration. PieSync will first scan all your contacts in both applications, even if you only choose to sync a subset. This initial scan is necessary to avoid duplicates. After this scan, the synchronization will start! If you have a lot of contacts, this can take a bit longer.
Have a look at the PieSync dashboard for an overview of your syncing activity.
Is your connection active but not showing activity feed, have a look at your troubleshooting to make sure everything is correctly set up.
