Supported OutboundEngine Integrations
To connect your OutboundEngine account, we need your domain, username and password.
If you already authorized OutboundEngine account(s) in the past or in any other PieSync integration, you'll be able to skip the first part of the authorization and choose from your CONNECTED ACCOUNTS.

OutboundEngine only comes with a few built-in fields. These can be used to exclude or include contacts by adding them as filters to your connection rules. The fields listed below are supported. We unfortunately can't detect changes to other fields.

Default Field Mapping
When connecting OutboundEngine to any other app, the default field mapping will automatically try to default map certain fields, note that this will be different for each application.
You have the ability to disable default mappings and reuse them in the custom mappings section.
Customizable Field Mapping
You are able to customize the default field mappings and you are also able to add your own field mappings. Any user-created mapping is also often referred to as the "Custom (Field) Mapping".

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What fields are we able to sync?
Name fields (first and last name), company name, email, address, phones, Birthday, home purchase date, last updated, source, tags and notes.
2. Is the sync bi-directional?
Yes, for any sync between Outbound Engine and another solution, there is a bidirectional sync available (unless the other app is read-only, such as Eventbrite or Facebook Lead Ads). The bidirectional sync can also be turned off, or through the rules it can be set up in a way that existing contacts do sync two-way, but that new contacts are only created on one side of the sync.
3. How often does it sync?
Depends on the direction:
for changes from Outbound Engine to the other app, we check for changes every 5 minutes (near real-time)
for changes from other apps to Outbound Engine, it depends. If these other apps have webhooks, then it's real-time. Otherwise, we check for changes every 5 minutes (near real-time)
a. Is this editable? Can we adjust how often?
The sync frequency can not be changed. If the user needs more control over when the sync runs, the user can essentially pause their current sync, and only resume the sync when they deem fit, though this is far from recommended PieSync use. We recommend to let the sync just run in the background.
b. Is there a button to push to say SYNC NOW?
When setting up the sync you'll need to explicitly push "start syncing now" for the sync to get started. After that, PieSync will work in the background keeping your data in sync without any user interaction needed.
PieSync also offers a
Sync again now button, that allows users to force a sync. As the sync is near real-time, this button is not being used frequently.
4. Can I sync tags?
Yes, there are two ways you can sync tags depending on the field type. For example, in Outbound Engine, we can easily write and read tags. However, this isn't always the case.
a. You can sync fields via field mapping. Note that this will only work one way from Mailchimp to Outbound Engine.
b. You can match tags in the connection rules. This will allow you to keep tags in a bidirectional sync. However, you will need to set this up for every tag you would like to keep in sync.
5. Can we sync leads? / Opportunities? / account level data? Or just Contact Level Data?
PieSync is focussed on contact level data. So we won't be able to access deal/opportunity data. Right now, we work with leads, contacts, customers, subscribers,..
6. Where will the client contact for support if they run into issues with the sync? Piesync?

The Starter Plan
- Entitled to use two rules per connection.
- Custom mappings are not included.

To calculate the total contact count , we add up the unique contacts in sync PER connection. If the contact is present in two connections, we count that contact twice as these are two separate syncs we perform.
