Supported Salesforce Integrations
PieSync is available for ALL Salesforce plans.
First, decide whether you want to contact to your Sandbox or Production environment.
We need you to log into your account and allow access. When you click 'Authorize Salesforce', a pop-up window will ask you to log in and allow access.
If you already authorized Salesforce in the past or in any other PieSync integration, you'll be able to skip this step and choose from your CONNECTED ACCOUNTS.
Choose your contact type
Distinguish between Accounts, Contacts, Leads and Person Accounts before proceeding to the configuration page.

- More in-depth info about our Account to Account sync can be found here.
[IF] Supported Conditions/Filters
By default, we'll sync any contact from your Salesforce list of contacts. PieSync does not sync Contact from or into accounts. HOWEVER, THERE IS A WORKAROUND for this...just click here to see it.
You can choose to have PieSync only sync a subset of these contacts:
- (not) OWNED BY
- (not) OWNED BY ME (a user who authorized Salesforce)
- GETS DELETED
- a filter on FIELDS, including CUSTOM FIELDS
[THEN] Supported Actions
When you are syncing contacts into Salesforce Contacts, you can choose to update CONTACT FIELDS, including CUSTOM FIELDS.
Take a look at a specific integration between Salesforce and ActiveCampaign with some actions and filters in this article.
Default Field Mapping
Depending on the other app you're syncing with, you'll see a number of standard Salesforce fields being mapped by default. For instance, in a connection with ActiveCampaign, the default field mapping looks like this:
PieSync syncs the default name field(s) that come with the apps. Sometimes they have a different structure in both apps you connect. E.g. first and last names are separate in app A and joint in a single field in app B. In the background, PieSync joins first and last names together from app A to B and separates them again from app B to A. Our algorithm is smart about which part it updates in app B.
Customizable Field Mapping
This feature allows you to create custom mappings, defining which contact fields should be kept in sync between your applications, including standard and custom fields. Want to know more about setting up custom fields in Salesforce? Find out here! The customizable field mapping is set up and shown in the white part below the default field mapping in the configuration. You can add an unlimited amount of mappings and remove, enable/disable them anytime. More information on Customizable Field Mapping.
The video below shows a 2-way sync connection between Salesforce and ActiveCampaign.
The availability to Sync Unsubscribes/Deletions is app and connection dependent. If the box is not there to tick, it's simply not possible. We need to be able to detect unsubscribes/deletions on one side and at the same time be able to create add the tag 'PieSync Unsubscribes' or ‘PieSync Trash’ on the other side. More Information on Syncing Unsubscribes here or on Deletions here.
