Sync rules

πŸ‘†πŸ» Only when 'Accepts mailing' as well as 'Sales newsletter' are checked in Salesforce will the contact sync into iContact. If you want this to be either/or, you need to break this down in two separate rules.

πŸ‘†πŸ» Once contacts unsubscribe within iContact, the checkbox for "Sales newsletter" can be checked off. The undo toggle will make sure it gets checked back on if the subscriber changes their mind. If your list already holds subscribers that you want to see pushed into Salesforce as leads, the following rule that looks leads subscribed in a list would fit.

πŸ‘†πŸ» Be careful! When running concurrent syncs with leads & contacts make sure iContact is aware of whether a subscriber should sync either as lead, or as contact into Salesforce. You don't want to sync contacts into your Salesforce leads folder, nor have leads immediately sync into Salesforce as contacts. The following rule makes sure converted leads are taken off of the drip campaign, and added to another customer list. This way, in iContact, there's no ambiguity as to who sits where in Salesforce.

Mapping examples

The default field mapping includes all essential contacts data. For personalized mailings, you need to include other mappings.

Sir? Madam? Your Majesty? This could be an important merge field to include.

Leads in Salesforce will not get created unless you provide a company name. Make sure you include a mapping for this.

You can directly read into the iContact status (Normal, Bounced, DNC, Pending, Invitable). You can have Salesforce's process flow builder just read into the content of this field and have other values set.
