How much time will PieSync save me?

How do we calculate this average? Let's first see what PieSync handles for you.
There are 2 different tasks PieSync solves so you don't need to do it manually. PieSync will sync contacts between your cloud apps, 2-way and in real time for any:
- newly added/created contact
- update to existing contact
These tasks are quite time-consuming. On average our users sync with around 3 apps (eg, Google Contacts <> CRM <> Email marketing tool), meaning that anytime an existing contact gets updated (or a new contact added), our users would manually need to create and/or update a contact in 2 other tools they are using.
Based on the number of sync operations we do (new creates and updates), we calculate an average time saved if you use PieSync to keep your contacts in sync.
Here's the formula (calculated across all your active connections):

We tested various apps to understand how much time it takes to create and/or update contact. Here are the averages we take for the above formula:
- Time to create new contact: 60s (login to the app, copy/paste or retype all fields from the master app)
- Time to update an existing contact: 10s (login to the app, find the right field and update it with new data)
Of course majority of businesses will not manually add or update contacts across all their apps every time a new contact is added or created. Usually they try to have one master database (a CRM) where contacts should always be kept up-to-date, and then perform import/export every week/month to update all their other apps. This process is also time-consuming, and it can also rewrite/delete contact data that has been updated in other apps (eg, newsletter subscriber updates her email address, which is reflected in Mailchimp, but not in CRM. If an import/export is performed from CRM -> Mailchimp, that new email address will be rewritten with the old one).
